What is Dermapen® 4?
Dermapen® 4 is a breakthrough micro-needling treatment utilising the most advanced needle cartridge innovation to vertically pierce the skin. What happens during the treatment?
The actual needling treatment is very quick around 10-15mins. We begin by cleansing your skin, post needling we apply an ultra-soothing, 3D sculpted mask for hydration and healing, finishing with a bespoke cocktail of serums to help treat your main concern and SPF if needed.
Is the treatment painful?
Unlike traditional dermal rolling techniques, Dermapen® 4 is the most comfortable micro-needling treatment available, thanks to advanced technology and design. With Dermapen® 4 there is no need for any topical anaesthetic, just lay back and enjoy the stunning results.
How many treatments do i need and how often?
We recommend starting with a course of 3-6 treatments. Treatments are normally 3-4 weeks apart. At About Man, we will create a bespoke skin plan for you and schedule your skin treatments for the best possible results.
How long should it take before I see results?
Typically, you will see results after the first treatment. Lasting and more significant results continue to improve over the next 6 - 12 months after a course of treatments, especially when combined with the recommended post-treatment skincare plan from your therapist.
Is there any downtime after treatments?
Generally no, but you may experience facial redness for 12- 48 hours after the treatment. Most people are able to return to normal daily activities immediately after the treatment.
